The inscriptions give you a fascinating history of the early days of the settlement. So many people died young, presumably of diseases that are easily cured in modern days. Captain Light, the founder of the town, is interred here.
There is also a Roman Catholic cemetery attached to it, divided by a wall. We were advised not to go there, I think because of biting creatures – snakes?
There is a map at the entrance which helps to identify the location of people interred in the cemetery.
