The observatory in the heart of the city, also known as the Guangfu Palace, was built in the early nineteenth century for the ancestors of Guangdong immigrants from Fujian to Guangzhou. Taking the traditional Chinese southern temple architecture style, the scale is small, but various wooden sculptures are fine carved, high quality, artistic and cultural value, is also a window to understand the history of the Chinese struggle in Taipei.
